Casual Music Tutor | Commencing in 2025

We are seeking highly motivated, collaborative professionals who are passionate about learning and thrive in a dynamic, innovative environment. If this sounds like you, we invite you to apply for the following positions:

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering weekly individual lessons for students from Junior to Senior School.
  • Teaching Junior classroom instrumental groups (Woodwind classes on Thursdays).
  • Potentially conducting and preparing a weekly music ensemble.
  • Teaching before school, during school, or after school, depending on tutor availability and student allocation.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience teaching individual lessons, small groups, and ensembles, ideally across K-12.
  • Strong knowledge of music curricula.
  • A commitment to meeting the diverse educational needs of students.
  • Proficiency in using ICT to enhance learning and engagement.

Computing and Technology Mandatory Teacher | Permanent Full Time 

Are you passionate about inspiring creativity and innovation in young minds?  

Hills Grammar School invites applications for a dedicated and skilled Computing and Technology Mandatory Teacher to join our vibrant learning community in 2025. 

We are seeking an exceptional educator who will bring enthusiasm, expertise, and a collaborative spirit to our team, supporting students to achieve their full potential in a dynamic and future-focused environment. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Proven ability to teach Technology Mandatory Stage 4, Stage 5 Computer Technology, and stage 6 Enterprises Computing. 
  • Exemplary classroom practice, utilising a variety of effective pedagogical strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Learning Technologies and their impact on student outcomes. 
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. 
  • Capacity to design, program, and implement innovative STEM initiatives that engage and challenge students. 

Desirable Criteria 

  • Ability to teach Stage 5 Design and Technology.

Maintenance/Facilities | Permanent Full Time | Immediate Start with Flexibility 

Are you enthusiastic about maintaining a clean and beautiful environment? 

Hills Grammar School is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Maintenance/Facilities team. This role involves collaborating with the maintenance and grounds team to ensure the upkeep of our school's buildings, grounds, and sporting fields. 

Key requirements include a strong understanding of safe work practices, the ability to problem-solve and work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team, and a valid driver’s licence. 

The role reports directly to the Head of Maintenance assisted by the Assistant Head of Maintenance. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Performing general maintenance and minor building works. 
  • Following a regular schedule of tasks and maintenance audits. 
  • Accessing roofs when necessary, adhering to Safe Work Procedures. 
  • Moving and relocating furniture as needed within the school. 
  • Assisting with manual tasks, including lifting and setting up for school events, in compliance with WH&S guidelines. 
  • Regularly collecting supplies from authorised suppliers. 
  • Contributing to the School Maintenance Plan and Essential Annual Safety Measures.
