The Learning Centre at Hills Grammar aligns with and seeks to enhance the School’s ethos and culture, while assisting the school to reach the goals within the Strategic Intentions Plan.
The Learning Centre’s mandate is to provide effective learning opportunities that boost collegiality, collaboration and connection, cognisant of our proudly diverse and inclusive school culture and our commitment to each staff member as a valued Hills Grammar Original.
At Hills Grammar we are One School | One Staff. The school acknowledges that professional learning, particularly by teachers, has been identified globally as critical to boosting student learning, engagement and wellbeing. In addition, the research emphasises the benefits for students when they are immersed in a school learning community where the learning of all adults on site – teachers and support staff – is nurtured.
The Learning Centre is whole community focussed and also offers a Learning Centre Parent Program each year. This program acknowledges the close partnership between parents and staff in the education and nurture of their children. It also enables us to showcase our excellent teachers in a different way, showing them as experts in their fields and as “HG Originals” in their interests and learning passions.
