Welcome back to Term 2, another busy term of sport lies ahead for our students, and we look forward to hearing of their achievements over the next 9 weeks. Our netball and football clubs have started their seasons and its been pleasing to hear of some positive results.
Please see the links below for the HZSA and CIS websites so that parents and students can make themselves familiar with the dates of trials and nominations. Please note that these nominations need to come through the sports office and only students who are playing at a high level are usually considered.

To try and clear up some of the anomalies that exist within the sporting structure please see an outline of the different levels of sport that exist for our students.
HICES sport is Junior School sport, students who qualify from school carnivals have the opportunity to go and compete at HICES carnivals who then have the opportunity to attend the CIS carnival. Individuals can also trial for HICES teams.
HZSA sport is both Junior and Senior school sport. At a Junior School level students participate in the weekly HZSA competitions in Term 2 and 3. We do not enter Senior School students into the weekly HZSA competition. However, students can still trial for HZSA teams, which begins the pathway onto AICES and CIS. Senior School students also will represent at HZSA level from our school carnivals.
Club sport; most of our competitive team sport occurs through the weekend club sports, basketball, football and netball are our three main club sports, cricket and touch football also play in the local competitions in summer. Students wishing to represent at club level would trial for the local association team.
