From The Principal

The Annual Report is a public document, produced each year to provide the School and wider community with information about Hills Grammar during the preceding year of operation. This report has been prepared in respect to the 2017 school year.

The School reports to, and engages frequently with its community, through newsletters and other publications, but the Annual Report brings together in one place, for the audiences interest and information, the key achievements and indicators of success.

In 2017 Hills Grammar adopted an ambitious agenda which included major reviews of many aspects of its operations and with a view to affirming and consolidating the School as a place of ‘extraordinary education’.

Foremost in our minds was the need to dream about the possibilities and not be held back by what is, or what had gone before, yet aimed to:

  • honour and maintain links with our proud heritage and established culture – which in our 35th year can be traced to the Vision of our founders.
  • ensure that the current generation of Hills Grammarians have access to an wide array of opportunities and exceptional learning experiences.
  • look forward and cater for future Hills Grammarians who will require different learning experiences and opportunities to ensure they successfully transition into a rapidly changing world.

In consultation, many areas of growth and development were identified and these have been used to inform strategic direction in both the short and longer term. These are reported later in this document and reflect the energy and commitment that characterized 2017 and will be sustained into our exciting future.

I publicly acknowledge all students, staff, parents, school council, school partners and thank all who have contributed to the School and its 2017 outcomes. I commend the 2017 Annual Report to you.
