Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra (ARCO)

Join us for a program of gorgeous Romantic chamber music, featuring Beethoven’s Trio, Op.38 and the delightful Grand Septet by underappreciated Swedish composer Franz Berwald.

Hear some of Australia’s finest musicians in an intimate chamber setting, including co-artistic directors Rachael Beesley and Nicole van Bruggen, as well as Daniel Yeadon, Neal Peres Da Costa, Simon Oswell and many more.

Music Co-Curricular – Rehearsal Readiness

All music ensemble rehearsals will commence in Term 2, Week 1 according to the attached schedule. Please note the following important rehearsal readiness information:

Attendance

For students unable to attend, advise music staff by email to assist with accurate tracking of student attendance - music@hillsgrammar.nsw.edu.au

Onsite Practices

For the health and safety of the whole School community we remind parents/carers of our Onsite Practices.

Drop-off and Pickup

Parents/carers may assist children to deliver and pickup instruments for music rehearsals and private tuition lessons.

Parents/carers of younger students may accompany children to the music department prior to rehearsals.

Parents/carers must not linger or congregate in or around venues. Please drop off and return to your vehicle, even if for the duration of the rehearsal or lesson.

Instruments and Equipment

Instrument and equipment cases should be regularly cleaned, with care taken around high-touch handles and straps prior to being brought to school.

Music - Private Tuition

Music lessons will commence at the start of term for continuing students. To enrol in music private tuition lessons, students may come to the music office for information, at which time parents/carers will be sent an email with a link to the online enrolment system.
