Jersey Day

Jersey Day is an awareness raising campaign for Organ Donation and came about because of the passing of young Nathan Gremmo of Oakhill College. Following the tragedy, the family made a brave decision to donate his organs. As a result of this, 6 lives were saved including 5 young adults and a baby. Hills Grammar are joining many other local primary and high schools to support JERSEY DAY. The day is not to raise money but to raise awareness amongst the community about Donate Life and organ donation.

Students are encouraged to wear their Jersey (NRL, AFL, NETBALL, RUGBY, FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, etc.) on Friday 1 September over their school uniform for the duration of the school day. If your child doesn’t have a jersey they can wear their favourite team’s colours.

For ECEC to 6 students Jersey day will be explained in a road safety context. For more information please visit this link.
