Japanese Sister School Short-Exchange

Over the summer holidays Yining Qu (Year 12) Zavier Loo, Thom Simpson, Shysie Wang (Year 11), all took the opportunity to participate in a 7-week exchange program in Hiroshima at our Japanese Sister School, Takeda. All four students had previously participated in our school-organised Japan Tour. This experience, as well as their passion for Japanese culture and determination to improve their language skills, inspired them to return to Japan to deepen their understanding of the language and culture. The students were hosted by families of the school and participated in school life, as well as the traditional and modern customs of Christmas and New Year holiday period. By living in a foreign country and adapting to its way of life, our students have developed their confidence, resilience and sense of responsibility. They have broadened their understanding of the importance of an international perspective and have contributed positively to the global community. Thank you to these students for representing our school with integrity and for supporting the relationship between our two schools. Please enjoy watching the bilingual videos and discover what the students learnt from their experience.
