Marcus is well known and heralded by our staff at Hills Grammar, as ICT Manager.
Marcus is a keen student of leadership, has completed an MBA, and has been leading teams across a broad range of contexts for over 25 years. These contexts include:
In the workplace in roles such as Infrastructure Manager, Director of IT, and his current role of ICT Manager at The Hills Grammar School where he has had both direct and indirect oversight of staff.
- In not for profit, volunteer-based organisations, leading teams and training/mentoring future leaders
- In sport, as a coach on the sideline and a captain on the field.
He currently sits on the board of two not-for-profit organisations and is a co-chair of the Association of Independent Schools (AIS) ICT Strategic Directions Committee. Marcus is also currently part of the AIS Emerging Leaders mentoring program as a mentor. As an experienced (20+ Years) ICT Manager and ICT Trainer, Marcus is passionate about aligning technology use and implementation with strategic business goals, and exploring innovative potential with emerging IT such as cloud, mobility and big data. Marcus’ recent corporate IT experience includes working at Dimension Data Managed Services in the area of Customer Service Architecture/Business Relationship Management. Having worked in both corporate and education IT settings, he has a broad perspective on implementation of best practice in IT service delivery, project management and enterprise architecture. He also has extensive experience in supporting and managing a range of Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft System Centre and Microsoft Office applications. Marcus’ qualifications include, Bachelor of Engineering (Mechatronics), MBA (Technology Management), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE), ITIL v3 Intermediate, Prince2, TOGAF 9 Certified Architect, and SAfE Certified Agilist.
