Gate 1 Parking Reminders

As we settle into Week 2 of term, we wanted to remind families of the afternoon pick-up routine put in place to ease congestion on Kenthurst Road.

Gate 1 should be primarily used for Junior School families and students with siblings in Junior School.  Senior School students can be collected from Gate 3.

For the safety of our students and the broader community, we ask all parents to adhere to the guidelines outlined below.

We also remind families that Gate 2 is for Camp Australia (OOSH) drop offs (prior to 8.15am) and pick up after 4pm ONLY.  Families should use Gate 3 or Gate 1 for student drop-off each morning.

Staff will be on hand to assist and we ask that all families be respectful of our staff and each other as we all work together to make the pick-up process a smooth one.

General guidelines

  • DO NOT block the roundabout entering Gate 1.  This obstructs the public use of Kenthurst Road.
  • Please use BOTH lanes when entering the school.  If both lanes are full, proceed to the next roundabout and return.
  • Arrive NO EARLIER than 5 mins before your child’s finish time.  If you have more than one child, please arrive at the oldest child's finish time
    • 3.05pm | Kindergarten
    • 3.10pm | Years 1-2
    • 3.15pm | Years 3-4
    • 3.20pm | Years 5-6
  • Have your child’s name and year group sign clearly displayed on the passenger side of the front windscreen
  • Do not ‘jump the queue’ – please be respectful of each other and everyone’s desire to collect their child/ren from school.
  • Please drive with caution and be aware of students using the pedestrian crossings.
  • All families are requested to follow directions from staff and drive slowly and carefully while on campus. The safety of our students, staff and parents is paramount.

Afternoon Pick up | Drive through | Gate 1

  • In order to maximise the number of cars on campus, and minimise the congestion on Kenthurst Road, the queue to the pickup bay will “snake” through the car park.
  • ALL cars will enter the overflow carpark at the driveway indicated.  NO CARS will be permitted to drive straight down to the bus bay.
  • Cars should turn left upon entering the overflow space and follow the arrows.  Click here for an aerial map of the drive through pick up
  • Once you enter the bus bay area
    • The outside lane (the one nearest the gutter) of the bus bay is the ‘drive through’ lane
    • Parents should not exit their vehicles whilst in the ‘drive through’ lane
    • Children should independently enter/exit the vehicle and secure their own seatbelts
    • Cars in the ‘drive through’ lane should stay in their lane.  As you drive around, do not stop and look for your child, keep moving and reduce the gaps to ensure we maximise the ‘drive through’ lane . Do not stop until the whole lane has been filled.
    • Teachers will bring the children to your car once the lane has been filled.
    • Parents should not ‘jump the queue’
    • Cars will be dismissed from the drive through lane once ALL children have been loaded in cars and it is safe.  Please wait until staff advise that you can depart.
    • Cars should not obstruct buses in the turning circle
    • The inner lane of the Busbay is used by staff as a holding lane for cars whose children have not yet arrived. Parents will be directed there by staff as required.

  • NO CARS will be permitted to drive straight down to the bus bay.
  • Cars should turn left upon entering the overflow carpark and park in the marked spaces provided. Click here for an aerial map
  • Do not park along the sandstone wall in the overflow carpark, this is used as a traffic lane.
  • For families with older children, spaces become available as families with younger students leave.  Please only arrive at your child’s finish time and you will find a carpark.
  • Parents / carers must collect Junior School Children from the bus bay personally.
  • Junior School Children are not permitted to walk to the car park alone or meet their parents in the car park.
  • Once you have safely collected your child/ren and are exiting the car park, please exit through the first access point as per this map.
