Community Satisfaction

Hills Grammar is committed to listening to the views and expectations of key stakeholders and commissions independent surveys to provide performance feedback on a wide range of education related topics.

The feedback from these surveys greatly assists the School with both its operational and strategic planning and its determination to continually improve the educational experience offered to the students.

In 2020, 216 parents and 247 students participated in surveys and provided views on such areas as academic performance, student wellbeing, co-curricular, sport, communications, reputation and facilities.

Parent Quotes on what they value about Hills Grammar:

Caring and supportive teachers and staff. Working through & talking to students, rather than being punitive. Talking with students, rather than at them or down to them - just a really good relationship & culture of respect for students (& therefore vice versa). School leaders who interact with the students on a regular basis and take on duties such as carpark traffic duty.

We value inclusiveness. We value that teachers who have been with Hills Grammar for many years are consistent and committed in their approach to the students and their learning journey through to adulthood.

Value the friendships between my child and other students teachers. Also the friendships between other parents and staff. The learning that my child receives at the School during his time there and how he will grow up as a young man during his time at the school.

Teachers have been supportive of my concerns so far, and helping with ways to improve my child's learning.

The friendly welcoming environment that always makes the whole family feel welcome and a part of the community.

I can see the progress my daughter has made developmentally during the year since joining ECEC in January. Academically, socially, emotionally and even physically from the co-curricular activities.

The School is well regarded, and I am pleased to be associated with a school such as Hills Grammar particularly in the field of educating kids with special needs.

It's a great school that my children enjoy, the education method of learning is great, the values it focuses on - I believe that my kids will finish Year 12 as well rounded, socially aware & socially responsible young adults.

I have been school parent now for 22 years. The School has developed well and I have no regrets about my children's education. The School has done its best to address my daughter's special needs, especially the Head of House and school psychologist.

Student Quotes on what they value about Hills Grammar:

I have had a positive association with the School from my 13 years of schooling. I have been awarded multiple positions and engaged in various activities and experiences, creating a positively skewed perception of Hills Grammar. As I come towards the end of my schooling career with Hills, I value the connections I have made the most. Both teachers (past and present) and students have value added to my experience at Hills and I know I will be able to continue these beneficial relationships after my completion.

The teachers and friends that I have created memorable connections with at the School. The memories and experiences that I have made as well and the knowledge gained from learning.

I value my grade, the teachers and the relationship I have with other students and the Principal.

I value the learning and subjects being taught at school. I value the students and teachers who attend the School.

I value that I have lots of friends that I can talk to if I need to, and the things we learn are valuable and can be used in the future.

I value the fact that I have an amazing mentor, kind and caring teachers, friends who I can talk to and trust with my opinions and the learning that I am receiving here.

What I value most about the association with the School is the learning and the people.

I love all my friends and the opportunity the School gives. all the teachers are super friendly as well.

I value the sporting achievements of the School and most of the people who go to Hills Grammar.
