The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) from Centrelink provides many families with subsidised fees for long day care.
As this subsidy is means tested, some families are not eligible for CCS. However for families who do not receive the CCS and who have a child in the 4-5 years program at ECEC, they may still be able to access preschool exemption hours, which may subsidise fees payable.
