On Tuesday evening, our Year 6 students held the opening night of their annual exhibition. The MPH looked stunning and was packed with parents, friends, staff and visitors who joined us for this important milestone in Year 6 students’ educational journey. The students had prepared extremely well over the past weeks and months and did not disappoint. Their individual presentations of their personal inquiries were outstanding and reflected not only high levels of confidence and presentation skills, but also a depth of learning on their chosen topic, which was truly outstanding. It is a real testament to the benefits of the guided inquiry based approach to learning which underpins our teaching and learning approach throughout the whole school. I was very proud of every single student as they overcame their nerves and shared with their audience on a range of interesting and informative topics. These individual and group presentations were further enhanced by some very impressive performance items.
The following day it was wonderful to see the younger Junior School students visit exhibition. You could tell there was a genuine sense of excitement and anticipation from the Year 5’s about their opportunity to present exhibition in 2019. Congratulations to the Year 6 students and a huge thank you to all the staff and parents who supported them through the process.
