Peer Support Leaders

Year 6 students have had a great time learning how to be an effective Peer Support Leader over the last two days. They have learned;

• Developing leadership skills
• Enhancing relationships with others
• Learning about their roles and responsibilities
• Becoming familiar with the structure of a peer support session
• Gaining and understanding of how groups work
• Developing strategies to lead a group
• Practising how to facilitate a session

They have also learned about groupwork, communication, assertiveness, empathy, listening, making decisions and providing feedback.
