Outdoor Education
Outdoor Education is an integral part of our School’s Co-curricular Program, designed to complement the objectives of both the Academic and Wellbeing Programs.
This program encourages students to collaborate, fostering essential skills such as leadership, resilience, and inclusiveness. It also teaches the importance of working towards a common goal and understanding the concept of teamwork, all within the framework of our school values.
Through the Outdoor Education program, students gain insight into their personal strengths and weaknesses. They learn that persistence and effort can lead to success in the most challenging situations—whether physical, emotional, or social.
The development of resilience—the ability to recover from setbacks with confidence—and optimism is crucial as our students transition into adulthood.
ECEC – Year 2 students explore the natural bush environment at Hills Grammar and nearby national parks. From Year 3 to Year 10, our students experience overnight camps in diverse environments, including alpine regions, coastal areas, inland rivers, bushland, and unfamiliar urban settings. This variety helps students develop adaptability as they explore and adjust to new surroundings. A strong emphasis on Environmental Education is a key focus throughout the program.
