In 2025, we welcomed our new Alumni Advisor, Sonya Pillai, who was delighted to organise a special event that is one of the many highlights on the school calendar – our annual combined school reunion. We were fortunate to host this memorable gathering on a beautiful spring afternoon in the RJ Phipps Performance Centre.
We celebrated the 30, 20, 10 and 5 year reunions, allowing our Hills Originals to connect and mingle throughout the afternoon. As in previous years, students enjoyed delicious catering provided by local business Sirculo, while live music by Groove Collective added to the lively atmosphere. Our new archivist, Gareth Dyer beautifully decorated the room with nostalgic memorabilia, sparking fond memories and reflections, along with a collection of photos capturing key moments from those cherished years.
The event was warmly attended by students and staff, including a special guest- a student from the Class of 1995 who travelled especially to be part of the celebration! Following a welcome speech by Dr Geoff Gates, Director of Teaching and Learning Pre-K to 12, the students enjoyed an engaging school tour. The school tour was led by Dr Gates, Kelly Boyd and Victoria Sim with memorable highlights for all. After the tour, the catching up continued and then extended to the Vicar, where the lively conversations carried on.
It was truly lovely to connect with the Hills alumni; all of whom were delighted to strengthen their ties with the school. It was clear that many friendships formed during school years continue to flourish today.
