Junior School Support SEAT Project

Junior School

In Term 1, students in our Junior School explored the concept of the butterfly effect and learned how each of us can make a difference by acting as compassionate and caring global citizens. As part of this learning journey, students participated in the SEAT project—an initiative that stands for Sustainability, Education, Art, and Teamwork.

Last week, students were proud to host the SEAT Gallery to showcase their work. Parents were invited to view the exhibition, where they learned about the YATRA Foundation, and celebrated the creativity and effort behind the finished SEATs. Students were proud to talk to their parents about the importance of collaborative teamwork and problem solving, in addition to explaining the reasoning behind their SEAT artwork.

This year marks a continued support of the YATRA Foundation, an Australian organisation dedicated to ensuring all children have an education. YATRA fully funds several schools in disadvantaged areas of India, making a meaningful impact in communities in need. Through their participation in the SEAT project, students know they have made a valuable difference to the lives of children, their families and the community on the other side of the world.
