2025 HSC Results

From the Principal, Senior School

Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2025 for their excellent HSC results, which included:

  • Thirteen individual Showcase nominations (Drama, Music, Design & Technology)
  • 64 Band 6 results
  • 31 students listed as Distinguished Achievers (40% of cohort)
  • An additional 9 students achieved Band 6 results in our accelerated Mathematics class (Hypatia)
  • 16 students with ATARs above 90
  • Median ATAR of 80 for the 7th consecutive year

Apart from Band 6 results (results above 90), the Class of 2025 achieved 252 results in the Bands 5 and 6 range (80% and above), representing 56% of all HSC attempts. Further, more than 50% of the Class of 2025 completed at least one challenging extension course. That is a sure sign of ambition at Hills Grammar, and when combined with the high proportion of 80+ marks, makes a difference to ATAR for our students.

Impressively, our students continued to maintain, for the 7th consecutive year, a Median ATAR above 80.
This can be attributed to the higher than average inclusion of extension courses (50% of students with at least one extension course again this year) and a high number of students who received a Band 5 and 6.

Highest ATAR

Sai Ventatesan – Sai’s top scores included 96% in Mathematics Extension 1 and 93% in Mathematics Extension 1. Sai received this year’s highest ATAR of 97.35.

Junjie (Steve) Wang – Steve’s top scores included 96% in Mathematics Extension 1, 92% in Modern History and 90% in Physics. Steven received an ATAR of 97.2.

Nicole Meng – Nicole’s top scores included 95% in Mathematics Extension 1, 91% in Mathematics Extension 1, and 91% in Latin Continuers. Nicole received an ATAR of 97.1.

Joshua Young– Joshua’s top scores included 50/50 in Music Extension, 96% in Music 2, 93% in Mathematics Advanced, and 91% in Physics. Joshua received an ATAR of 97.1.
