About the role

We are looking for PDHPE Teacher Year 7 to 12 to join our campus from Term 1, 2027.The role involves planning, evaluating, and delivering innovative programs to enhance the knowledge, physical development, health, strength, and fitness of students. You will be developing students’ gross motor and coordination skills and fostering a positive self-image in a safe environment.  You will be working with a collaborative and dynamic team.

Essential Requirements

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold current NESA accreditation to teach PDHPE (Years 7-12) and PASS.
  • Be willing to teach PDHPE in the Junior School if required.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of current best practice in PDHPE education.
  • Show vision and innovation in the development and delivery of PDHPE programs.
  • Teach in a way that caters for a wide range of learning abilities and styles.
  • Critically engage in current understanding of best practice in PDHPE through regular participation in professional development and reading.
  • Be confident and competent in the use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues.
  • Be willing to contribute to the co-curricular life of the School.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to supporting student wellbeing.

About You

You will:

  • Hold current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW.
  • Be qualified and experienced in teaching PDHPE across secondary year levels.
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management practices.
  • Have strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Engage and motivate students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
  • Show a passion for health and physical education and a commitment to ongoing professional learning.
  • Embody the School’s values of Excellence, Respect, and Integrity.
