Casual Music Tutor – Violin

Hills Grammar is seeking a Casual Violin Tutor to join our outstanding Music Faculty based in Kenthurst.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching weekly individual violin lessons to students from Junior to Senior School.
Conducting junior classroom instrumental groups where required.
Potential to conduct and prepare a chamber ensemble of mixed ability musicians.
Before-school, during-school, and after-school teaching opportunities available, depending on tutor availability and student allocation.
An ability to teach a small group musicianship and/or music craft class as part of the school’s co-curricular program, preferably after school.

Education and Experience

Qualifications and experience in teaching violin to students from Kindergarten to Year 12 (experience across a range of levels is desirable).
Strong working knowledge of music curricula.
An understanding of and commitment to meeting the educational needs of a diverse range of students.
Ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom.
