The Perfect Learning Environment

Co-educational

Co-education offers a greater diversity of academic and social experiences in a natural learning environment. Co-education mirrors the world into which students will graduate, with women and men studying and working together. Mutual respect and understanding is fostered through a strong values set underpinning all programs.

Independent

The essence of independent schooling is to provide choice. Hills Grammar is unique in that it  was founded by an individual and supported by the foundation families without affiliation to religious or government organizations. It is governed by a “Board of Directors”, the School Council.

Non-denominational

Our community is made up of people with a rich diversity of interests, abilities and backgrounds. Hills was founded with educational and personal development ideals which apply to all children, regardless of faith. The School’s values framework guides students from all cultural and social backgrounds.

Exceptional facilities & campus

The stunning environment is perhaps the most obvious of all our attributes. Set on 16.2ha amongst natural bush and landscaped gardens, the classrooms, specialist facilities, ovals, car parks, bus bays and support services are fully contained on one safe campus for all students from the Early Childhood Education Centre to Year 12. Ample parking allows for parents and visitors to park within the grounds.

Small Class Size

A favourable teacher to student ratio of approximately 1:11 is critical for the individual pastoral and academic care of each student.

  • Most classes from Kindergarten – Year 2 have 18 to 22 students
  • Year 3-10 have 2 to 24 students
  • In Years 11 and 12 you will find classes vary from as low as 8 to 24 in each class

One Campus

A convenient single campus, where students from Pre-Kinder to Year 12 share facilities and opportunities for interaction, as well as having their own dedicated areas for learning and play.
