Kindergarten

The Infant Years (1 & 2)

In Years 1 and 2, children learn the conventions of school; they mix, talk, explore, recognise, identify, play, listen, manipulate and respond. They will acquire knowledge through the many directed teaching and hands on experiences available to them.

The Primary Years (3 to 6)

Years 3 and 4 present a large range of opportunities for students to model, compare, draw conclusions, describe, evaluate and begin to justify. They explore their world with more independence. Students in Years 5 and 6 enjoy increased Leadership responsibilities and can display initiative and creativity as they participate in and help to organise School events.

Years 7 and 8

The curriculum is designed to help students make the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 as smoothly as possible, and then go on to consolidate and extend their skills and knowledge in Year 8.  Each student's growth and adjustment to change is aided by a well-established Wellbeing system and Co-curricular program.

Years 9 and 10

Students enter a phase of education that liberates them to make some choices and to pursue in greater depth some of the courses which they have enjoyed and done well at. Students will continue to develop their knowledge and skills in courses which are compulsory requirements for progression to Year Eleven.

These years are a test of character as students strive with courage and determination to develop rigorous and disciplined study habits, resilience to overcome setbacks, and the consistency required to achieve to their full academic potential at the Higher School Certificate.
