Secondary Visual Arts Teacher | Temporary Full Time | Commencing Term 2

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Visual Arts Teacher to join our dynamic faculty. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in art education, a deep appreciation for visual arts across cultures and time periods, and the ability to inspire and guide students of all skill levels. As our Visual Arts Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students from year 7 to 10, for designing and implementing engaging curriculum, providing instruction in various art mediums and techniques, and fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement visual arts curriculum aligned with educational standards and learning objectives.
  • Be an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher, with a passion for visual art
  • Integrate art history, theory, and criticism into classroom instruction, providing students with context and perspective for their artistic endeavours.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, helping them to refine their artistic skills and develop their unique artistic voices.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported, valued, and empowered to take creative risks.
  • Be a team player and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in art education.

Junior School Teacher | Temporary Full Time | Commencing Term 2

As a key member will be working in Junior School, you will be able to deliver a vibrant academic and wellbeing curriculum to your class and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas. You will be using teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and a willingness to differentiate curriculum to the needs of the students. You will bring your passion to the school and above all, have a willingness to engage, connect and care for our students. 

ESSENTIAL

  • Possess an excellent understanding of the learning needs of primary aged children with a proven ability to engage children in a vibrant School education program at all levels.
  • An ability to utilise appropriate technologies to enhance student learning.
  • A genuine willingness to be engaged in the Co-curricular life of the School, and participate in and help develop, innovative teaching programs and interdisciplinary projects.

DESIGN AND INNOVATION ASSISTANT | PERMANENT PART TIME (4 DAYS PER WEEK) | Commencing in Term2,2024

We are currently seeking a part time dedicated Tech Assistant to join our Design and Innovation Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the department's operations by assisting with a wide range of technical tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lesson materials and assist teachers in the delivery of practical lessons.
  • Collaborate with students on their projects, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Assist teachers in the classroom as necessary to facilitate the learning process.
  • Complete compliance checks on machinery and materials to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Raise purchase orders based on instructions from the Head of Department (HOD).
  • Pick up materials from various stores as needed for departmental projects.
  • Service and repair workshop machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in workshops to provide a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of the dust extraction unit to uphold health and safety standards.

Skills and Experience Essential to the role:

  • Previous experience in a technical role, preferably in an educational or workshop setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in using workshop machinery and tools for servicing and repairs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Diploma Qualified | Permanent Full Time | Immediate start but with flexibility

We are seeking a highly self-motivated Diploma Qualified to join our Early Childhood Education Centre. Our Centre holds an exceeding rating and our staff enjoy salary and conditions (including leave) well in excess of industry standards. 

This is a full-time position but the School may consider part time options for the right candidate. 

This role is suited to a new graduate or an experienced educator. 

ESSENTIAL

  • ACECQA approved Diploma level in education and care qualification.
  • A first aid qualification that is approved by ACECQA includes applying first aid, emergency asthma management, and anaphylaxis.
  • Valid Working with Children Clearance.

EXPERIENCE

  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards and the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Demonstrated skills in supporting curriculum development and documenting children's learning.
  • Note recently qualified graduates of diploma programs are encouraged to apply and will be provided with extensive professional support from experienced staff.
