Michelle Jenneke

Class of 2011 | Sprint Hurdler, Model

Michelle competes in the 100 metre hurdles for Australia. Her most notable achievements in international events so far include a 5th place finish at the 2012 IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona, and a second place finish at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, when she was 17 years old. Michelle is the reigning NSW Open Champion in 100m hurdles.  She gained selection in the Australian Olympic Team to represent Australia at the 2016 Olympics in Rio and recently represented Australia at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Portland, Oregon. Her personal best of 12.82 is the current State NSW record and ranks her as the second fastest Australian women's 100m Hurdler of all time.

As well as continuing her athletic career Michelle is studying a Megatronic Engineering degree at The University of Sydney. Michelle recently visited Hills Grammar to assist with the warm-ups for the Kindergarten – Year 2 Athletics Carnival. In 2016 Michelle was named as the inaugural inductee into the  Hills Grammar Sports Hall of Fame.
