Carolyn was appointed as a member of School Council, 24/8/1988 and is a foundation parent of the School. Carolyn was also a foundation member of the Parents Association and served as both secretary and President of the early years of the schools development. Her three children have attended the school. Carolyn is a musculo-skeletal physiotherapist and has been in practice in the Hills district for 25 years. Carolyn is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (and a past member of the Board) and the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Association of Australia. Carolyn is a director of various businesses and has extensive experience in both business and sports management.

Charles was appointed as a member of School Council on 25/10/2010. Charles is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in finance and operations with several multinational companies. He was formerly VP of Global Sales Operations for a leading telecommunications company, Registered Tax Agent, member of the Institute of Company Directors and Institute of Credit Management. He has lived and worked in Asia, Europe and the USA. He has served on a number of Boards internationally and has been a parent of the school since 2004.

Ian was appointed as a member of School Council, 4/10/2000. He is a Chartered Accountant and Managing Partner, IAC Robertson & Co. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, Licensed Strata Title and Community Manager, Registered Company Auditor, Registered Tax Agent, Justice of the Peace, Proper Authority Holder – Licence under the Australian Securities and Investment Commission. A past Board member of PLC Sydney, Director of VeriFone Group of Companies in Australia and Bioniche Animal Health (A/Asia) Pty. Ltd. He is a past parent of the School.

Des was appointed as a member of School Council, 26/5/1999. He retired in 1994 from James Hardie & Co. At the time of retirement, Des was National Sales & Marketing Manager having been with the Company for 43 years.

Educated at Brisbane State High School in Brisbane, Des holds a Business Management Certificate and a Certificate in Building Construction.

Paul was appointed as a member of School Council, 27/9/1995. He is a long time resident of Dural. Paul was Dean of the Faculty of Science Technology and Agriculture, and then Pro Vice Chancellor Research and Consulting at the University of Western Sydney, Hawkesbury. He has extensive experience in tertiary education at a national and international level. He was a member of a syllabus committee of the New South Wales Board of Studies and an examiner for the NSW Higher School Certificate. He is past President of the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology.

Richard was appointed as member of School Council, 11/6/1985. He has wide experience as a primary and secondary teacher. He has also had experience in educational administration as a primary school principal. Subsequently Richard was Managing Director of Science Research Associates, the international educational publishing subsidiary of IBM Corporation and then as General Manager of The Australian Quality Council. He also worked for a time as Ministerial Adviser to the Hon. Alan Cadman, MP and later as an executive in the IBM Australia leadership team until June, 2000. Richard is now a part time business improvement adviser for AIM, AusIndustry and the Asian Productivity Organisation.

Leonie was appointed as a member of the School Council on 29 September 2011. She began her professional life as a teacher, and later established a furniture importing business and also served as a director of Allan C. Davis Investments, a family company with various interests. Since the mid-nineties Leonie has worked as a freelance travel journalist writing mainly for The Weekend Australian. A foundation parent, Leonie was active in the school community from the beginning, firstly as an office-bearer in the Parents Association and later as a member of the School Council, from 1986 to 1995. In 1986 she was part of a three-person Management Committee who performed the duties of the Principal until the appointment of Mr. Ron Ayling. She started The Pennant and headed the School's first fund-raising campaign, Building For The Future. Reappointed to Council in 2011, Leonie has an enduring interest in education and THGS in particular. All four of her children attended the School.

John was appointed as a member of School Council on 27 July 2011. He is a Director of three companies, covering migration, salary packaging, contractor management, payroll and international business setup. Past experience has been with in the service industry as sales and marketing director for one of the largest hotel chains in the world and also experience in the IT industry. Currently a member of the fund raising board of the Children's Medical Research Institution CMRI/Jeans For Genes. John is also a member of Migration Institute Australia (MIA), Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA), NSW Business Chamber, Parramatta Chamber, Cumberland Chamber, Sydney Hills Chamber. He is a qualified migration agent. He has three children, two of which attended the school.

Andrew was appointed as a member of School Council, 29/11/2006. He is General Manager – Property Development with OneSteel Limited, with responsibility for the management and development of property portfolios. Prior to One Steel he had a similar role with Boral Limited. Prior to Boral this he was General Manager for property development and investment with Lang Walker – a major property developer in Sydney. Prior to Lang Walker, he owned and operated his own company – PASA Development Pty. Ltd conducting property development activities in NSW for a period of approx. 10 years. During this time he also provided consultancy services to the State Government, the Treasury and Department of Commerce. He is a past parent of the School.

Sonya Phillips was appointed as a member of School Council 27 June 2012. She retired as the Mayor of The Hills Shire Council in 2008 following a long career in both Local and State Government including being an adviser to a NSW Parliamentarian. Sonya is now the Director of a government consultancy called "Solutions By Sonya" and is a registered political lobbyist. She is also a Board member of the Rouse Hill Learning and Community Partnership and has extensive experience working with her local communities. Listed in the 2007 and 2008 Who's Who of Australian Women, she is a Justice of the Peace and was the recipient of the Paul Harris Rotary Fellowship. She was also awarded the Australia Centenary Medal for services to industry, the arts and local government.
